Flush the toilet using Tide and Downy

I don't know if somebody posted it before, But I just saw this wierd (but interesting) idea.
As I could see, this is only a prototype. The idea sounds ridiculous, but if we stop and think for a few seconds, we discover it is a great idea. If we think globally, it can save millions of gallons of fresh water flushed every day around the world.
I'm sure Gyro Gearloose would be very proud of this "Little Helper's" invention.

Very interesting.

In our country, the user would need to be cautioned about washing only with LOW PHOSPHATE detergent. Otherwise, this would only add to the phosphate pollution issue that we face.

Well, it's a simple enough way to use gray water to flush the toilet by gravity. And it does eliminate the cost of purchasing a pedestal for the front loader.

It is an interesting, though problematic concept.

Using gray water for flushing the toilet is a great idea, and should become more popular in the next few years. However, though, I don't know if this is quite the way to go about it.

I firmly believe we'll all be utilizing many more "gray water" options in the future. Not sure this is the answer, but....at least the water isn't being used in reverse order, LOL!

Another way to save water in the bath is to have a separate urinal for guys. Typically a urinal uses far less water per flush than a regular toilet. Plus it resolves the perennial female issue with toilet seat up/down. If and when I remodel the master bath I'm giving serious consideration to adding a urinal.

I was at an interiors show in Verona Italy about 3 or 4 years ago and I actually saw this most unusual contraption. It was part of a large European Ecology exhibit ...as I remember there were several other unusual "marriages" of unlikely components in that exhibit as well.

I once, out of sheer lazinesss, hooked up a water hose from my bathroom sink and ran it to the toilet instead of going out and buying a new trap for under the the sink. I kept it like that for about a year. Worked perfect for going number one then washing haqnds in sink to flush but number two required the handle pulldown.lol.
