Foca and Ariel detergent

Living in the Houston area, we have many Mexican products in our grocery stores for those Hispanic people who prefer them. Going to my local H-E-B this evening, I was wanting to experiment some more with this new SQ TL. I bought a plastic bag of Foca powdered detergent, and also a plastic bag of Ariel powdered detergent. I haven't used a powdered detergent since the 90's. Certainly the Foca smells good; the ladies at the check out (who weren't Hispanic) were talking about how nice Foca leaves clothing smelling. I was also surprised that they weren't the cheapest detergents there, either.

Any one on here have experience with these brands?

I'm using Ariel currently and Love the scent.  It washes ok and rinses well....for me anyway.

I have used both Ariel and Foca (and Roma and Ace).  Typically keep a supply of Foca for occasional use in my non-HE toploaders.  Ace Limon was great but disappeared locally some while ago (there is a Hispanic storefront/grocery here but I've not been in so don't know what it offers).

What would we do without H-E-B? LOL. I tried a small bag of Ariel sometime back before purchasing my SQ and, honestly, I thought it kind of had a clay consistency to it. It cleaned okay, but because of our septic system I haven't used it since. I've never tried Foca or the others.

I liked the H-E-B Bravo pretty good, though it can foam up, and I may switch or retry it again. After a Dr.'s visit, he recommended All Free & Clear, but am not overly impressed. Whites are turning dingy. I didn't have that problem with Bravo.

Please let us know your experiences. I would be interested.

Clay consistency

That's probably the zeolite content. They've been using that in our detergents since the 1980s, to soften the water instead of phosphates.

There was comment made by others on here, about the zeolites turning over a period on time, into solid masses in the drains, which then had to be chipped away. The inference was that some manufacturers were trying to switch away from zeolites.

Ace in U.K. is a liquid oxygenated bleach. we have Ace with lemon scent but it’s called Ace Mediterranean

Foca

I love the smell of it, but with an HE machine it is difficult to use. Worked well in my Maytag top loader.
