The Frigidaire is still in the box. I have an I-18 that I have to play with first. Isn't 1/4 cup kind of stingy for a double capacity washer? It fills up with ~20 gallons.

Bobby, Yes that is kind of stingy. lol

I thought you were using the Frigidaire. I meant the 1/4 for the Frigidaire.

My parents had a Rapid Dry 1000 and then a 1-18. Bot were great machines. How do you like the 1-18?

Now for the 1-18. I would start out with 1/2 cup, see how the suds form and add more if needed.

I did a large load of towels in the LG last night, 1/4 cup detergent, with the soft water I have in the house. They rinsed out fine. I will let you know how the feel after drying. They are dried and still in the dryer. lol

Foca in a FL

So this is my first post here....I've lurked on this site for a long time, but never signed up! I found the Foca detergent at Wal-Mart today and decided to try it since I was out of Tide.

I'll have to say I was impressed by it. I have a front-load Frigidaire washer and it seems to work very well with it! The Tide tended to create too much suds and suds-lock the machine, the Tide HE didn't seem to clean very well with our hard water, and Gain tended to leave a residue on dark colors, so I figured the Foca was worth a shot.

I'm surprised since the Foca seems to suds VERY little in my machine. Seems to be the opposite conclusion that some other people have noticed on here. How much detergent are y'all using anyway? I used about 1/2 cup and it seems to have done a great job.

I've attached a video as well. (Yes, I'm a Youtube addict...) To those here who have videos of their machines up, know that I've watched most of them!

Ex-Lurker...

Nah...I won't be lurking so much anymore. I just had to finally have a reason to join the site! I'm getting an '80s Filter-Flo washer this weekend, so I'm using that as an excuse to join.

Yeah.....that sounds good...
