A BIG THANKS goes out to Leslie P. (Magic Clean) for the wonderful literature he sent me! I am truly delighted to receive this! One is a Frigidaire 1-18 dryer Tech-Talk that covers the DEI (my machine), and he also sent some spec sheets/repair literature for the GE Portable. It also included information about how to determine the date by looking at the model tag. I'll have to scan it for us so we all can find out how old our Filter-Flos and Portables really are! Leslie, anything in particular you're looking for that I could send you?

By the way, I checked the model tags on my Dispensall and Portable (by Hitachi), and their serial numbers begin with LA, which means they both rolled off the line in June, 1977! How strange is that?

Thanks again! I was going to email you about this, but why not post it! :)

That is so nice!
Leslie, we really missed you at the convention!
I just knew that you would show up!
Enjoy your reading Austin!

I also found out that the GE's pulsator (impeller) spins at 710 RPM during wash, but the tub spins at 820 during spin, so it's not the same but more! Will keep reading...I wonder how they accomplished this...

Austin, glad to hear you are enjoying the "tech-talk" & GE "mini-manual" information. What an odd coincidence about the manufacturing dates of your machines. You should start playing the lotto!

Have fun!
