food processor question

Hi there. I have an old Moulinex food processor that my grandmother gave to me. I was using it today to make a pie crust for a chicken pot pie. It has one big brown button to turn it on and it is a pulse button which you can lock on if needed. Well, today as I was trying to pulse it, it got stuck on. It will still spring up slowly, but it doesn't pop up like it should. Is there a fix for this? Can I lubricate it somehow, or do I need to take it all apart?

Probably going into it and doing a bit of cleaning is best. It sounds like an accumulation, over the years, of dust and other stuff around the switch mechanism.

It's worth working on....

it's one of the best processors ever made, and I am sad that it is no longer in production.
