Hey guys,

today I was checking my AEG lavamat 78800 with the diagnose-programme.
By doing that I saw, that the machine ran for exactly (!!) 2000 hours in 2 years and 8 month.

Maybe you can tell me for how many hours your washers ran, would be intersting to compare!

greetings, Nino

Interesting, I cant wait to see what else gets posted. I doubt I can check my LG, I dont know what combination of buttons to press to do anything to it. Only feature I can see on it is when you press the Temperature button at any point in the cycle and it tell you the temperature of the water in the tub at that precise moment. Handy to know. :) What would also be interesting to know from everyone is how much they put in their machine each time they use it, an average number of Kilos or for them to say they fill it to capacity everytime etc. That way we could work out total amounts of laundry processed too. :) rob

Since the winter of 2003, my Maytag Neptune 7500 has run 1081 cycles. Given a typical cycle time of 1 hour, that would work out to about 1,000 hours. Although I purchased the machine in the winter of 2001, the main board was replaced in the winter of 2003, which erased the original cycle count. The machine does not appear to keep track of hours of operation, just the number of cycles.

hmmm

On average Mum does 1 load a day on a 1.18 minute 40 synthetics wash. Once in about 50 blue moons she sets it to a 60deg Synthetics which is 1hr 38. So over 2 years thats 730 washes. Add my weekly 95deg whites wash with Intensive selected. 2hr. 1 x 40deg Cotton at 1.30 1 x 40 deg synths and a 40 deg wool wash at 48 minutes. Equals a guess at total to date run time of 1829.9 hours. Not bad considerin our HOOVER QUATTRO managed HALF of this ! That shows the quality of Hoover shit these days. Got to hand it to LG its beaten the Hoover as much as i like neither :) however its yet to catch up with Mums old Hotpoint or Electrolux. Im workin out total laundry weight its done. Rob

We've now had our Kenmore Oasis 3.8 cuubic foot capacity washer with solid lid for 6 months now. The machine is a real workhorse and is apparently Sears' best cleaning and most gentle Conventional Top-Load washer. It replaced a Kenmore-branded Whirlpool Direct-Drive Top-Loader which only lasted 4 years.

Order the repairman!!

Well, I think that it´s different at every AEG washingmachine.

The repairman activated the diagnose-programme when the machine was broken and I was watching him.

But I still can tell you how I´m activating it:

Turn off the machine.
Push Prewash and the spin-speed button, and hold it pushed.
Push the cyclebutton onto 95° and wait until the machine beeps.
Congratulation, you´re in it!

I wonder how many hours some of the old style GE's have logged. I know of one that has been washing on a regular basis since 1969 with only belt replacements. I guess that it all depeneds on the way one treats such a machine as the old GE's. Moving from place to place twice a year eats at that machine because of the rubber boot coming loose from such a heavy transmission swaying around during moves.

My Maytag TL from Feb 1996 to Feb 2006 had done about 2500 washes.
It would have done 1250 hour if each wash took 30 mins.
It is still very strong and is acting as an spare.

My Huebsch FL from Feb 2006 to now have done about 430 washes.
It would have done 430 hours if each wash took 1 hour.
