Thank you for the picture of the Sunbeam Blender. New, it came with a white lid that had a removable cap for adding ingredients.
Jeff, in 1966, Sunbeam began selling rebadged Oster blenders. They were in varying weights and styles, but pretty much used the same motors. Often the bushing on the blade assembly is dry and sets up a rattle and moan. The early ones with the slide in 7, 5 and 3 speed all had a stainless wrapped housings and are very solid, reliable machines. There was a Vista model with white accents and handle made at the same time and also a two speed with a round base that came in white, sandlewood and chrome. The jar did not have a banded handle.
