Excellent all-metal construction with a real safety grill. A lot of old fans don't have adequate protection IMO but the newer fans are all plastic, nothing wrong with plastic in the right places but grills must be thin to maintain airflow and we all know what happens to thin plastic members as they age. So you've got the best of both worlds: traditional construction with modern safety. How many speeds on this model?
Two speeds. The Whirlpool dealer where I worked was known locally for selling Windmaker fans (made in Houston by the Phil Rich Fan Manufacturing Company, which was sold to Sunbeam in 1981). Customers would bring their fans in each year before the summer season for oiling. Replacement motors and speed switches were also done.
I've always liked Windmaker fans, have had a few over the years but none at this time. I remember furniture stores selling them, would display a row of them in the front window, arranged from smallest to largest.
