Today's Patent of the Day shows an early design for the Mini-basket, introduced in 1962, that was more like the "Daily Dipper" that I put in a previous thread. The "Daily Dipper" was a mini-basket type deal that was designed for the GE wringer machines. It sat on the activator post like the mini-basket but you first had to remove the real activator to use it. Apparently the same was true with this prototype. I guess they decided it would be too much of a chore for the average housewife to pull out the big unit to use the mini tub. Haven't seen this patent before so I thought I would point it out.
Where did all these patents come from? They're wonderful.
