Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

IH sure knew how to build a refrigerator. Many of them still out there chugging along without a single repair.

I wouldn't buy it but the artwork is amazing. Why on a fridge though? Of all of the overpriced "art" fridges I've seen, this is the first one that I've seen painted on the inside as well as the outside.[this post was last edited: 4/1/2013-07:54]

For posterity, here are a few pics. Anyone know what year it is?

There was a LARGE movie banner promoting the first Star Wars movie that was sort of that format on the fridge. That banner sells for thousands today if you can find one.Would rather have that banner than the fridge-I just can't "get into" a fridge that has the Star Wars Moteff. And how the Death Star is hidden inside the box.

I'd go really early 50's

I have my parent's '53 in the basement, it has the full freezer and shelves and butter keeper in the door.

IH's were very durable, seems the weak link was the door handle. Mine is half missing.
