I agree with Tom that the Harper burners are a big plus on that range.  I had no idea the those burners were still around into the coppertone era.  I had a couple of mid '30s Wedgewoods that had Harper's "Speed and Simmer" burners and they were a pleasure to use.

Unusual crown range.

It certainly an unusual range must be a beast to move, it has two ovens one under the cooktop with a broiler below that oven on the left side. It's just storage except the upper area has a side swing door that has a full oven with a broiler underneath it as well. It does look a little discombobulated. I think the left side doors are out of alignment or something. This range would not have electronic ignition yet so you would have four pilot lights burning all the time, so it would put off a significant amount of heat in a warmer climate and use a lot of gas and also make a lot of carbon monoxide just sitting there.

Neat with the built-in range hood and all the biggest problem with this range is relatively limited cooking surface area it's essentially a 24 inch range for the cooktop area.

All crown stoves had the center simmer burner all the way up to the end in the mid 80s. We have a number of customers with even 1986 crowns and they always have the center simmer burners.
