No fear of aluminum here!
I have several aluminum roasters, one of which is the thick heavy type, like Club, but without the paint on the outside. I just use a Brillo pad on it after each use.
My collection of cookware consists of a little bit of everything, as long as I like it, and how it works,I don't care what its made of. I have a friend who bought all allclad stainless cookware. Although it is very good stuff, My old Revere Ware cooked just as nice as his, at a fraction of the cost, collected at 2nd hand shops.
Buy what you feel comfortable using, that is what I say!
