Hey guys. I want to find a new home for our side by side. I bought this two years ago and it has been working great.

Then, I noticed the seal on the fridge side wasn't selaing, so i bought a replacement that was very hard to find. I put it on, and there is no magnetism in the new seal!!!!! So the door wouldn't stay shut. My wife said enough is enough and made us get a new one. (Sad face)

The thing is that it is working really good. Freezer is great, and fridge side is blowing cold, but it can't draw the temperature down without the seal. It all works great, icemaker, water dispenser. Light on dispenser is not working.
But, its all there, including (not shown in pics) egg tray and toe kick, but ice door is missing. Paint is decent, and i do have the chrome strips that go on the sides of the doors(had to take them off because my toddler kept pulling on them.)

Free to whoever wants it and can do something with the seal? 36"w x 67"h GE Model TFF24RC (like 1983 I believe) Wife said it has to go.

Just replaced the cam

I did the cam first thinking that the door wasn’t closing all the way. It fixed the door closing, but it still ddidnt seal properly. When that didn’t work, then I got the seal.

I mean there is absolutely no resistance. We put some refrigerator magnets on the edge on the freezer side seal and they stick, and they just fall off on the fridge side. It’s really weird. I installed properly. I had done one before just fine, and the fit was perfect. There is just no magnetism.

I am pretty bummed about it. I really like it, especially the handles.

Nice looking fridge, looks like an updated version of the GE Americana.

I'm more of a fan of the late 80s early/mid 90s GEs but this is very nice looking and cool that it all is still working properly. I hope you can find a new home for it.

Last Call

This is the last call. I'd be willing to hold for up to a month if somebody is willing to take it on.

If I don't hear anything by the end of the weekend, we're going to have to call Orange and Rockland for the free pickup.

Being from around the time period GE was installing their newer rotary style compressor, which all failed eventually, this just may have a replacement. My sister got a new GE top mount in 1985 which had a new compressor installed within a year by GE at no charge. No more problems after that and still working today.
