Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Does anyone know what year these are?

On second look, these may be the same ones that my parents had from when I was a baby until 1975. That would mean that they either bought them when they moved into their first house in '67 or second house in '69.

If I had the room and the time I'd grab these.

me the same...like I need another set!

not sure about the washer but the dryer should have a full console light

Dryer button

The "Start" button on this dryer is the same as the one on my parents' Kenmore set. The reason why I know this is because I watched the repair man change it and he gave me the old one to play with. I was about five at the time and I distinctly remember what it looked like. Unfortunately I don't remember any real details about that Kenmore set otherwise. I do believe the consoles lit up on both.

These are 1968 Model 800s They both come equipped with console lights. The washer here has the skirtless Roto Flex agitator, and manual speed control (the knob to the right of the dial). There was another version of this washer offered that year, and it looked exactly like this, but it had only one shift lever which was for water temperature, and the water level switch was the rotary knob to the right of the dial. The speeds on that version were incorporated into the cycle selections, if I am correct.

There was a similar set like these offered in 1966, but the washer had the black Super Rotoswirl. My next door neighbors had these.

I hope somebody grabs these soon for use. They look great next to each other, and deserve to be matched for many more years to come.

Have a good one,
James

I love these!

Someone should get these for me so I can come down when it is better timing lol! I would so love such nice set though. I always find one or the other, but hardly ever a matching set. Anybody going for these? They should be saved one way or another, even if it is for another member of the group. These are too nice to pass up.
