FREE Maytag set

Now right there, that's the right washer that would have gone with my mom's dryer that looked exactly like that dryer...
Only it was a REGULAR CAPACITY dryer, but Timer only & two temperatures (or counting Air Fluff, THREE!) and the Regular/Perm. Press-Cooldown settings on the dial...

Oh, I seem to have spoken too soon--that IS a regular-capacity set! What fooled me was the washer having a Hot Wash/Warm Rinse, in what I thought was a Small-through EXTRA-Large water levels...
No, the water levels ARE Small, Medium and Large and this is my 2nd reg. cap. washer in my lifetime to have the three basic water levels and surprisingly a Hot-Warm for the wash, in addition to the Wash-Rinse Temps. being Basic Three-plus-Cold...
The other is a Whirlpool washer, from that era, owned by friends of my wife's who'd lived in the house right behind ours on the next street, who'd moved out just after we'd into ours... The dryer most-likely to have accompanied that, was replaced by a current (& mighty fancy) Maytag, of likely larger capacity & ready for a similarly-planned washer...
Then again, there was an appliance store I'd gone to (John R. Appliance, on John R. Rd.) which had at the years ago time I had gone to, just about EVERY Whirlpool washer and dryer on an individual basis, and plenty of pairs, that YOU CAN THINK OF... So surely I had met up with a Whirlpool washer like that one, along with its matching dryer possibly there, along with plenty of Kenmores similarly equipped & nearly the whole line, a few GE's, an occasional Hotpoint & NO MAYTAGS... (Asked about Gibson, just to be told anything that's that brand (and likely the rest of its ilk) being "relatively worthless"--so got commentary, from the store owner, citing "an occasional DRYER, coming in" a-plenty!)

Isn't this like an A107 washer and DG308 or DG408 dryer?
according to the AD, they claom is from the 60's....not hardly....
the gold trim started around 1976/7.......
the Halo of Heat had the smaller capacity dryer drums.....this is a bigger door and drum Stream of Heat dryer....also from the late 70's
a good match actually, you always want the dryers capacity to be bigger than the washer....
