Yes, it's gotta go... I have one MobileMaid too many and this is the one, alas...
It's a model 1SP43S1 - that dates it to 1960. It is working but has been seriously bojacked... The last person who owned it installed it in a rental unit and did some creative plumbing to make it a 'stand-alone'. There is damage to the cabinet because of this and their hookup leaked so the machine was not used while the tenants were there.
I have some personal history with the machine - back in 2010, I was contacted by someone in Montreal who wanted to know if I could repair her grandmother's GE dishwasher. Well, this was the machine - it was leaking around the motor coupling area. I fixed this with some POR15 and high-heat silicone (you'll see that red ring in the tub bottom). I managed to re-glue the detergent dispenser which had been cracked and got it working correctly, but the tenants who used this managed to break it again. I think it could be fixed.
Now, here's the condition: the interested party must take the whole machine. I will do what I can to help get this shipped - I do have access to a freight company just over the border in Derby Line (Norman G Jensen). If not, I'll keep it and part it out in case one of my MobileMaids needs a parts transplant.
I have already tried to contact a member of the group, mikepaquette, who had expressed an interest in having one of these machines, but I have not received any reply. IF he surfaces, I would give him priority on this machine.
Geez, I've become a cranky old geezer since I retired, haven't I? And whoever said 'become?', watch it... LOL
