Anyone want a free HAAG "mangle" iron?
My daughter and I visited the local Goodwill collection center today and found it sitting out front. Offered them five bucks and brought it home....hoping to save it from the landfill.
I just ran my shirt through it, and it works perfectly. It's so quiet I had listen to see if the motor was running. Silly thing ironed my entire shirt in about 10 seconds.
The muslin cover for the ironing drum is in beautiful (perfect) condition. The outside paint really needs to be lightly sanded and resprayed, to look good. It's all flat surfaces, so other than masking off the HAAG name, it should be quick and easy with some Rustoleum Appliance Epoxy.
So if you'd like it, come get it. If you want to trade me for a 60's era Presto Steam Iron, that would be real cool! I'm actually driving to the SF Bay Area...possibly as soon as tomorrow, so you could get it delivered on the cheap.
