My partner and I are talking about getting a new fridge freezer. We would like it to be 50/50 split and no more than about 60cm wide and 185cm high. I'm at a loss as which brands offer the best value for money. I personally like the ones with the fans in the fridge. In a flat i rented it had a Zanussi fridge freezer with the DAC and it was great for chilling things.

Any ideas?

Please pardon the ignorance.

You say that you want a 60cm wide fridge(24" inches). Our full-sized model start at that width and go up to about 90cm (36"). So how much narrower are such items available on your side of the pond?

:-)

Not that much narrower... The fridge we have just now is 50cm (20"). Its also about 150cm (59") high. Its just too small for the two of us.

Heres a link to Comets fridges and freezers section. Since a picture is worth a thousand words!

Cool. I done some snoopig around and can get the smaller ones for 549.00 so i'll see if i can convince my partner to buy one!

Let us know how the fridge turns out!

hey

if you are getting a fridge freezer i have a 1992 Zanussi Frost Free Fridge freezer and it is still going strong in 2008! its amazing they are really reliable

Zanussi lover

Going strong it may be but thats probably using close on 3x the electricity a new model would - even 10 years ago most frost free models were g rated for economy !

Well guys, its just not ment to be with the miele fridge freezer the wait time is nearly over a month and im a bit jarred off with the whole miele thing now! So ive been chatting to mike and I have decided to go for the LIEBHERR CN3666 exactly the same fridge freezer but with out the miele badge!
