Frigidaire 1-18 washer only cold water works

Hi all,
I am looking at a Frigidaire 1-18 matching set, seller stated that washer only works on cold water. I know parts are hard to find for these so I figured I'd ask the experts on here what the issue could be and before I jump on snatching these up. I'm not sure of the model,waiting to hear back from him, so I included a picture of them. Any help is very much appreciated.

More than likely the water valve needs some TLC (solenoid coil or a new plunger and seat set) and those parts are readily available today.

I'd say pick them up anyway as you may not find another 1-18 anytime soon.

What Ben said.  If the water solenoid has to be replaced, it's still possible to find one that can be adapted to fit a washer like this.  A matched 1-18 set is not something that comes along every day these days!
