Frigidaire 1-18

So, I just purchased the Frigidaire 1-18 washing machine that was listed for sale near Atlanta. I will be driving over to pick it up soon. My question is, Can I lay the washer down on it's side or back to transport it in a mini-van or must I have it standing to transport?

Your advise is greatly appreciated!

If the washer works as well as the seller says, I want to do the sound reduction techniques I read about earlier in the spring.

you are aware there is no transmission in a 1-18....hence, no chance of spilling oil!....

but if you must, pop the top, and install something like these 'noodles' to keep the tub centered during transport....check the link.....

now I am thinking a bicycle inner tube would work for something like this, insert, and inflate to keep the internals steady during transport....

but you really shouldn't have an issue of transporting one of these on their side or front....

GE FilterFlo transporting help

Many members have had a few problems when transporting GE FilterFlo's on their back or sides, main reason is that tub to trany seal popping off..... and I have to transport one, on it's back, for delivery and I don't want this to possibly happen.....so I came up with this..... went to Dollar...
