Looking for a wild hair.

Back around 1970 ish, Frigidaire AND General Motors had a feature film cassette player and cassettests. A salesperson would greet you and, once they found out what appliance you were interested in , they'd pop in a cassette filmage of the design and features along with the many different models, color availability, and warranty coverage. If I remember correctly,1972 was the year. Right before they introduced the Touch N Cook range.
From Jet Action 1-18 to Super Surge. From Electri Clean to Fowing Heat. From Jet Circle Spray System to seven bladed stainless steel Pulverizer. These cassettes had it all on film showing them in action and how they operate. I've searched high and low but, alas, no successes. It makes me wonder how many of the older companies that had them still do or are even still in business. If so, where are they???
I'd love to find a complete set with the video player included but NEVER see them on line anywhere. Am I alone? Or are there other Frigidairens here who know what I'm talking about. Just a shot in the dark. Hopefully, I'll hit the bullseye. Thanks in advance.
Lucky Chucky.

From that time period I'd bet these were U-Matic cassettes.  Big, clunky and exceedingly rare today.  You'd really ave to search to find a machine to play the tape, though I did see service to convert U=Matic tapes of newer formats.

U-matic was introduced by Sony in 1969 and on the market in '71 so the time frame is right.  good luck on the hunt, you never know what will turn up.

Technicolor 1000

Chuck, you're probably thinking of the Technicolor 1000 series film cartridges. These were endless-loop types that would automatically stop when they returned to the beginning. Inside the case was 8mm film with an audio track. At least one member here has some of the Frigidaire cartridges, and I have a boat load of the GM carts for Chev/Olds/Buick, etc. for most of the 1970's.

The big issue today is finding a projector that works. They use a number of belts that will need replacing and there are some soft plastic gears which can go unexpectedly. -C

As Cory told, I have bought a few Frigidaire Technicolor 8mm film cartridges but my Techincolor 1000 player is busted. So I sent the cartridges (featuring 1979 appliances) to another member but he has the same issue of currently non-working projectors! (but he has many players and many more Technicolor cassettes than I have!).

I wish GM had used U-Matic Cassettes instead as I do have a few of these old Sony U-Matic video players (but they haven't worked for years too!). I used to work in the audiovisual depatrtment of a college and I know this old stuff pretty well. We also had Techincolor projectors but they were the small ones without sound for the smaller Technicolor film cartridges. I have one of these that work but it won't play the GM 8mm cartridges which were all bigger and had sound.
