With the Wonder Oven. You pull out the oven's drip tray and bake element and there is another bake element below. You position the drip tray in the proper rack glide in the middle of the oven, plug the bake element in the receptacle and hang the little metal door (not shown)from the slot at the front of the drip tray and you can bake at two different temperatures or bake in the lower part of the oven and broil in the top part. The embossed molding between the controls and oven swings out when the oven doors are opened to shield the controls from the heat.
It has those big old Robertshaw thermostats that WORK! ,these are wonderful, I have one, but mine is not a Wonder oven and is missing the chrome trim around the edges.
All of my older Frigidaire ovens use Wilcolator thermostats. I like that you can turn them up to BROIL and then back to the temperature you want and it automatically preheats the oven with both the bake and broil elements on full blast. Before the desired temperature is reached the broil element cycles off and then the bake element cycles so that the oven reaches the desired temperature without overshooting it. During the bake, the perimeter coil of the open coil broil element cycles with the bake element to give excellent baking results.
