Due to moving (and needing the money), I am parting with my small vintage Frigidaire 1-18 collection.

I have a matched Poppy 1-18 set comprised of a WC-6 (washer) and DEC-5 (Dryer).

A white (model WS) washer with glass in lid and an almond dyer (sorry, I have it in a storage unit and forgot to get the model number).

Cosmetically, the almond dryer is in very good shape and clean--almost new looking. The white washer is also very good with a little bit of superficial rust around some of the screws in the bottom of the cabinet. The tub is clean and shiny.

The poppy washer has some of the same rust around the bottom screws and some minor scratching on the front. The poppy dryer has several long scratches on the top and an abrasion on the left of the control panel. From a distance, they both appear good, but could benefit by a paint job to be a truly impressive set.

All units function great. The poppy dryer squeals a little as it needs some lubrication on the drum wheels, but dries well.

I do not want to sell them separately but will sell them as a set for $500. As a bonus, I will also throw in an unused 1-18 fabric softener in original Frigidaire box (#0634147).

The poppy set and the white washer pictures have appeared in some of my previous posts. I tried to attach pictures today, but the files are too large.

If someone can tell me how to reduce the file size (900 K, 1.1M and 2.1M respectively) of the pictures, I will post them.

Just go to your photo editing software and reduce the colors down to 256, and resize them to 800x600. That alone should give you a good picture size and maintain the colors while reducing the size of each photo down to under 100KB.

Here are photos of the Poppy set, as promised. Thanks for your suggestion Allen and your offer, Kevin.

FRIGIDARE 1-18 SETS

Great looking frigidares, I believe the red pairs color is actually called Terra-cotta as this was not the shaded Poppy that they used earlier. The Terra-cotta was not shaded and had more orange in it. I have a shaded poppy pair of 1-18s but I didn't have the window lid and when I found one I didn't know why it didn't quite match the rest of the machine and then I found it was from a later machine that was the Terra-cotta color.

1-18 collection + mangle

Great, Peter. I also have a 1949 Bendix mangle, that works, that you or whoever buys the collection may have.
