that is gorgeous!!!! And stainless steel of the good kind!!! Self-cleaning oven too. I need a cigarette I"m so enthralled and excited about this range.
We had this drop-in range....
....in a home my parents had built in Rosemount Minnesota in 1968-1969 except it was in coppertone rather than stainless steel. I can remember that the clock would "buzz" loudly whenever we had momentary power outages or "brownouts" until it was sharply rapped. Wish I had a picture, but unfortunately not. This same house had a Custom Imperial push button dishwasher and a Kitchen Aid reversing garbage disposal. Refrigerator was one we had in the previous house - a Sears Coldspot top freezer - also coppertone. Here is a picture of the kitchen - you can see the dishwasher. Please ignore the man on the floor. He WAS alive, I assure you!

Great Range
This is a classic range that would look really great in many of today's kitchens, it was rare to see these with a SC oven. Our house in W Va came with a compact 30 in turquoise 1965 vintage, unfortunately they did not make SC ovens yet in this model, it was a great range except of the wide elements that would not ever stay flat and the fact that the broiler temperature could not be adjusted to anything but 550 degrees.

Do you see that sagging right rear surface unit? That is the sort of thing that can happen with Radiantubes. It could be that the spider is not sitting right or it could be other problems. I would want to see the Heat Minder work to be sure that it is not needing to be replaced. Maybe the right rear unit was used to death because it is the only 8" alternative to the defunct Heat Minder.

I think this was one of the best designs ever for any home stove, gas or electric, although because it is a GM made Frigidaire, I KNOW it was a good performer when it is in good repair. I've brought up the subject of Classic appliance design before, and as John already said, this stove wouldn't be a stranger in today's kitchens. I wouldn't even gripe much about the lack of an oven window, because it would upset the beautiful simplicity of this stove's lines.

The Control Tower range
only came in the Compact 30 model apparently... recently saw one in Poppy! It was about 4 hours away, but would have gotten it if we could use a drop-in model, which, unfortunately we could not.

Bill, I have the exact same dishwasher in Avocado!
The person from who I purchased my avocado dishwasher also has a non-self-cleaning Compact 30 range in avocado. I wish it was an Electri-Clean model, I would have bought it but I'm not sure if they even made them here! Since it's a Canadian model, it has a bright panel under the oven door with fuses behind it and left/right surface unit pilot lights.
Steve D. has a brushed chrome Electri-Clean model like this one. (see the link), the one pictured is the Canadian Avocado range.

Bill, do you know if the panels were replaced on this dishwasher?
The standard color panels on Custom Imperial models were usually anodized aluminum with painted inserts like the ones on my dishwasher (mine was originally a portable model that has been converted to an under counter with a conversion kit from Frigidaire).
Regular steel panels with brushed chrome finish were also available (I'd like to find these!).

Yes, Phil - your beautiful avocado Frigidaire is the dishwasher we had in the Minnesota house around 1969.
The appliances were all ordered in coppertone and that's the way they came - no panel changes.
I remember this dishwasher was problematic in that it would sometimes start and stop during the wash cycle (for a second or two) several times in succession. Never found out why. Terrible installation by builders - note how they CUT the front edge of the countertop to fit the dishwasher under it! Big gaps to the sides as well. I don't think they even bothered to fasten it to the countertop/cabinets as I recall leaning too hard on the door when rack was loaded would cause the unit to tip out.
Carpet in the kitchen? A TERRIBLE idea!

There was probably a problem with the water level control (an overfill protector) or something like that. If these dishwashers overfilled to the point of lifting the float in the tub and tripping the micro switch (I guess it could happen if the dishwasher is not installed at the correct level with the front lower than the rear), the water level control would stop not only the fill valve as it does on some models but all action. So the pump could start and stop in a situation where there are waves at in the water contained in the tub causing the float to move.
Mine originally being a portable model, it lacks the water level control. It does make a long pause during every fill period and I don't understand why it does that but I think it's normal!
