So a few weeks ago the neighbors next door invited us for a Christmas party. The house is new and has Frigidaire stainless steel appliances, Gallery I think? Anyway, I was standing in front of the double oven and it wasn't on but I could feel air blowing from the control panel. So I am guessing it was a cooling fan. I don't think the ovens vent outside, at least I don't see any vent on the side of the house. But my aunt had Thermador ovens in her house (not sure if she still does) and they did vent outside when on.

Oven vent

Our fairly new GE has a similar vent.
It exits right above the door handle.
It does continue to run for a while after the oven is turned off.

That fan is to help keep the electronics "cool" and to remove heat.  On my KitchenAid, it can run for 20-40 minutes after I turn off the oven and that is with me leaving the door(s) ajar to allow oven cavity heat to escape.
