Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

I had a 1975 Custom Imperial

My Convertible dishmobile had all push buttons and FRIGIDAIRE's pattented Super surge 5 level wash System.Noisy Mother f'r but when I would set the pots and pans cycle and press the 150F option, that bastard did a fabulous job.
7 bladed stainless steel pulverizers worked great too. I had to do a clean out every month with a toothpick to open the holes blocked by food particles. The door would reularly need adjustment too and the wooden butcher block top would warp.By the time my warranty was up,the replacement parts added up to enough money to buy two more machines.Nonetheless,I liked the way it worked. The noise it made had a wash pattern unique from any other dishwasher.

amazing!!!

what we do and how much we spend on the appliances we love! oh well, that's the spice of life! if i want 6 dishwashers in my kitchen and another 9 in my bedroom what the hell! anyone who comes to my house prob thinks i'm nuts but hey, they'll get over it!

I personally...

...consider appliances to be perfectly good furniture. The '64 Dishmobile makes a great kitchen island (in fact, in Missouri, when it went off to a, uh, friend's house, I missed having it in the kitchen).

Roger and I have insisted that they make perfectly good nightstands; I think Greg suggests using them for chip storage.

But in the end, who the hell cares what other people think, anyway? :-)

that weird bend

i was told by a friend on this site that the weird kink in the calrod was there to keep the front center of the bottom rack from getting too hot to touch if door was opened during dry cycle. i guess these machines really put out the heat he mentioned.
