since i'm off today and in a pic taking mood here are some of the frigidaire dishmobile someone gave me last summer. it runs great and doesn't leak a drop. wonder if any parts are still available should i need a pump seal later on? i'll have to check. model no. is DWCDMR

it has to be from the 70's i would imagine. i have several 70's frigidaire ads that someone gave me and they are classic!
this model is included in them. i will try to post them here in the pics!

here's the bottom, looks great!

the inside i love!!!!!

love that blue tub and those white racks! tub is in great shape and racks are too!

also love the unique style of the top rack. frigidaire by general motors dishwashers are my 2nd. favorite after hobart kitchenaid ofcourse. frigidaire today i think is a joke, i have one, it can't even pump enough water to wash both racks at the same time! it's sittin on my front porch and i hope someone steals it!

very unique

love that black pump, spray arm and that huge wash tower with the odd shaped ball on top!

look at the shape of the calrod drying unit! never seen one like it before. wonder why they did that. maybe to add more length to it?

Frigidaire Dishwasher!

My Aunt had the same exact model and color only she had built in model. Great dishwasher for the time. I loved to load it. Held a ton of dishes!
Best Of Luck with it,
Peter

all in all

it's a very nice dishwasher, and i love the style of it. i found it sitting in a kitchen of a guy i was doin work for. i ask him if i could buy it and he gave it to me on the condition that i would install his new one when he gets it. just my luck he has bought a new frigidaire, the brand i think stinks the most! and i have to install this peice of junk! that's some weird karma cummin at me!

let's see if i can post that frigidaire ad here

Sure is a beauty!

And what a deal! It looks like it was really well cared-for. I am guessing it still runs too.
The wash tower is intriguing. I remember a high-school friend's house had all Frigidaire appliances (all turqoise - sigh!) from when the house was built in 1965 and the dishwasher featured a wash tower similar to this one. I remember the upper rack being different, though.
Anyway, this an amazing vintage machine here - enjoy it!!

it runs!

i have used it dozens of times and it runs great, doesn't leak and cleans very well! it is now retired but i will continue to run it ever so often to let it know it is still loved!

Very Nice Dishwasher

I miss one Mint also . It was given away before I could get there. Good for you. Enjoy Mike

Okay, so I have to know...

The top rack is very spin-tube Dishmobilish. What's the column in the middle with the concentric rings for? Does the spray tower pop allllllll the way up when it pressurizes, or what is that?

And is it my eyes, or...

...does the bottom wash arm pass under the Calrod? What's that weird inward bend all about? If it was designed that way, is this to better heat the water, or something, by having it basically spray over the Calrod with each pass of the arm?

I think the element is shaped like that to go AROUND the perimeter of the whole silverware basket in the lower rack instead of under one part of it. Possibly to provide even drying of the silverware and also possibly to keep from melting the plastic basket.

BTW, from the pics, it looks like you have a few plugged jets on that lower spray arm...
