My contractor grade Lowes sourced Frig in action. I cannot film inside due to lack of equipment but I attempted to capture the sounds as it shifts from lower to upper arm.

With a full load as you saw, it is relatively quiet. The cycle selected is the one I use 99% of the time.

Cascade Platinum paks are used exclusively as they give me the best cleaning results. The Finish tabs, as recommended by the mfr, just don't deliver the goods. My dad uses the Finish tabs exclusively in his kitchenaid along with much softer water and gets good results.

Silverware, stainless pasta pan, coffee carafe, cups, glasses, 3 plates, gooped up bowl used to make flapjacks, bowls with dried on ice cream, tomato sauce, cereal and 2 ashtrays make up this load. Bob load? Not sure if it qualifies.

Cool!

My Frigidaire sounds similar with the alternating spray arms. The lower on mine is the Blade Spray so it sounds slightly different. I've had great results with it. I'm very happy.

I have used Finish tabs exclusively for the past several years but recently I bought some of the Sam's pacs and the work pretty well I must say. I add a wee bit of STPP to each load too. Keeps the inside of the dishwasher nice and clean.

Your Frigidaire is impressively quiet for a contractor-grade machine. Cascade Platinum pacs do the best job in my dishwasher, as well.

Ashtrays are a challenge for the upper rack. I'd forgotten how a bit of mashed-in ash would sometimes be left behind---even in soft water. Hard to believe it's been well over a decade since my last Merit.

Mr. Bobload would be upset

at that under loaded machine.....LOL

but it does sound like a lot of action going on inside. I have hard water and I use finish powerball with no problems at all, although I've heard Cacade Platinum is best, but some people say it leaves your dishes with a detergent taste? I dunno, I've never tried it.....but many people here use it, so I doubt that reviewer.

I run mine everyday and sometimes it's def not a full load. I try to use the Top Rack (Energy Saver) cycle when it's not full. I'll space everything out evenly so the sprays can do a better job since it's a shorter cycle. But even on "Normal" Heated Wash...it runs typically for maybe 1 hour 15-20 minutes. Top Rack is just over an hour. It doesn't just use the top rack spray though...which is weird, but whatever. lol

Top rack only

The Top Rack cycle will periodically run the lower arm as well to keep the filters clean.
My GE will do the same thing in half load mode.
It's ok though, water still gets to the top no problem.

I have that same machine, but in white. It does an Ok job as far as I'm concerned. I only run it when it's full. I don't heavily pre-rinse anything- basic scraping before loading for the most part. I use Finish Quantum and have been pretty satisfied. There are times it misses something. But I have to say that my machine is quieter than the one in the video. I always use the Normal cycle, with heat boost, and hot dry. Cycle times are about 2:15. I always run the machine when I go to bed and unload when I get up.

A year on still going

The cascade paks consistently outperform all other brands I have used, even the Finish powerball recommended by the manufacturer.

GEL, not only is it not turning but mine runs that arm much longer. Have you checked to see if the top sprayer has "blown" off? Mine does it all the time and I super glue it back together. Either way, you got issues. I have never had a better DW than this "Professional" model FD.
