Frigidaire Dryer - DCIF-65

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

this is a flowing heat dryer, I doubt a filtrator. I've only seen Steve 1-18's Custom Imperial dryer. His doesn't have the small control knob next to the buttons nor does it have a timed dry option. It's only the drying control for the "timer".

Although, now that I look at it closer, it could well be a filtrator. Otherwise, that's one heck of a lint screen on the bottom front of the dryer.

Actually Bob, the (I think the) "F" in the model number stands for Filtrator, and the other giveaway is the panel at the bottom where the condenser is, which the Flowing Heat model does not have. We had the flowing heat model, and it did not have that panel on the bottom, under the door.

Well Bob, so sorry but now that I see the auction and other pictures which I hadn't seen before the other posting, I don't know. I see it says Flowing Heat on the panel. Maybe the F is for Flowing Heat? I don't remember the rotary switch of which you speak or the panel at the bottom, but it's been a long time and I could be spacing it. Anyone else?

...or maybe at that time they put flowing heat, even if it was a Filtrator? I considered that it might be gas and the panel was for the pilot and that apparatus, but then it wouldn't say 240 volts. I also don't remember there being an F in the model number of the other one. Someone will enlighten us I am sure!

It's a Filtrator - it was still designated a Flowing Heat dryer because it had a closed-system air circulation system for moving air through the heater, drum, filtered and into the Filtrator for cooling and finally back to the heater again. The water tray is inside the lower panel.

You're correct gansky

That is the same dryer as my 64 DCIF-64 that I need parts for. Too bad I bought last April a DDA-64 on E Bay for parts. This would cost me a penny to ship since the DDA-64 came a short distance from Fort Worth, Texas to Denver. My DCIF-64 is a flitrator with flowing heat signage on the control panel.
