I don't know a lot about Frigidaire dryers, so please forgive my ignorance. Is anyone familiar with the model that "needs no plumbing or venting"? Is this a condenser dryer?

Yes, that would be the Filtrator condenser dryer--they had a little condenser-tube module that slid out like a drawer in front, and it had a drip pan underneath that collected the condensed moisture.

I believe by this time, the Filtrator was in its final run, and Frigidaire was leaning toward doing the normal-style, vented dryers we're familiar with nowadays (which they referred to as the "Flowing Heat" dryer).

The filtrators push all the heat into the room, but at least it is dry heat!

Room air is used to cool the condenser! So at least only heat and neither moisture nor lint are released into the room.

How fun would it be to bring in cold outside air to the room-air intake of the condenser. That would probably speed up the dry just a little bit, eh?

Whoever has a Filtrator, I expect a full report!!!! LOL LOL LOL
