Definitely one of the later models. $500 for a range with a non-working cooktop is not realistic. However, that could just be a bad contact on the switches that cut the power to the cooktop when it's retracted.

that's the Custom Deluxe model of the "N" series. 1968-69 era. 3 - 6" burners and 1 - 8".
That was at the end of the Flair model run. Next they discontinued the 40", and finally the 30" was dropped by 1971.
