After a lot of window shopping I bought a new LG Front Loader after I swore some years ago that I wouldn't ever buy another LG product when my TROMM FL's circuit board shorted-out and LG didn't have the replacement part.
Long story short is that NOTHING new appealed to me (except one of the MIELE "Little Giants" but I'm not prepared to shell out 4K+ for a home appliance at this point in history) except some LG's.
I was prepared, however, to spend 2K+ for the LG Mega, but after some serious research, where I found out that the damn thing LACKED a bleach dispenser, and gave the user no choice but one of those "reservoir" dispensers for ONLY liquid detergent and fabric softener, I said "No thanks". A very nice and salesperson at the store I chose also told me, in a very low voice, that the MEGA models didn't have adequate internal chassis to manage that much heavy water-soaked laundry. I was still considering the MEGA dryer when I suspected that LG was committing their own flim-flam as GE tried with their 'BIG DOOR" dryers. Sure enough, on the Spec sheets revealed that the heaters, motor and temperatures were the same as those listed on the sheets for the more normal-sized models.
I found a BEAUTIFUL Cherry Red older LG dryer on my local Craigslist for a decent price from a very nice couple who live nearby in Stratford.. I noticed that most, if not all, of the new LG dryers have drums that are only part Stainless Steel and this older one is all Stainless. I'm sure it's likely a minor thing...it's the principle.
I'm in love with the new machine. If it continues to work without any defects or early retirement issues I will feel that I did good. One big reason I chose this model was:

- It's one of the few LG's that has the internal water heater.
- My only complaints so far are:
- It has one of those stupid smoked-glass windows so I can't see what's happening in the drum (somebody here did a Thread on this a while back). Reminds me of those people who pay a premium for darkened windows on their cars so people will think there's a celebrity inside.
- It lacks an internal light like a dryer, so I can see what's going on inside the drum.
