Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

The one in yellow is the "Wonder oven" version. The knob on the left is a second thermostat, you can see as there's a pilot light next to it and a rectangular connector at the middle of the oven where other models would have the round rotisserie connector.

It's not missing the second element. It's just not connected in the center of the oven. These ovens can be used as a single large oven or as a double oven. The element needs to be plugged in either the lower position (as it is now) or in the center position. There's another element in the lower section of the oven (partially visible under it) that's can be used with the second thermostat when the other one is connected in the center position.

That is seriously cool!  We're planning a kitchen remodel down the road and rather than trade in our 30" for a 40", I'm wondering if it would be better to just pop a wall oven into the wall instead to achieve the same thing.

In 1958, they changed the oven designs and now offered double ovens (I have one of these). The french door remained but it wasn't as popular and the wonder oven was gone from both the built-in and free standing ranges.

We have one we bought from a woman who said her realtor wouldn't sell her house with it in it. It was dirty white but when we got it home we saw it was painted over and Sherwood Green underneath. We love the french door feature and paid $50 for it.
