Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

I have one of those, kenmore version.. and i have mixed feelings.

Part of me dislikes it. The other part hates it.

Honestly, its still in my laundry room only because it fits perfectly and because at this moment i have no other option to put there to fill the space.

I use it sometimes (it's my very last option). It washes, it rinses, it spins... The draining is stupidly designed, the performance is mediocre for most of the loads, the capacity is ridiculously small for the size of the washer.

The dryer is awful, specially if it's 120 volts like mine. The drum speed is so fast the clothes don't tumble.

If this washer was sold on Amazon nowadays, it would definitely have a 1-star rating.

WCI 24 inch washer dryers

For some stupid reason they put a 50 cycle motor pulley on the dryers, and it caused them to tumble so fast the clothing never dried correctly.

The easiest way to fix that is to remove two of the dryer drum baffles and they worked fairly well.

Who 120 V machine was also ridiculous because whenever the washer motor was running it turned the dryer heating element off and also turned the dryer timer off so the cycle ran a long time.

The pump design was also bad the thing had a terrible time pumping out the final versions of these machines they put a 16 minute final spin cycle and hoping that the water would finally leave the machine.

I have to agree. As I mentioned above, I have mixed feelings about this washer. Part of me dislikes it a lot and part hates it.

But it is a good washer to play with once in a while (and roll eyes).

I just can't understand how it reached the market like that. The "delicate" cycle simply cannot spin all the water, even on minimum water level, because the pump is a total disaster.

Gosh, WTF those engineers were doing? Didn't they even dare to TRY it before authorizing mass production?
