Strange but true

My partner had the frigidaire version when I met him. His dryer was squeaking and catching clothes at the top of the drum in the front. I replaced the rear bearing and the front glides on the top. 6 months later, the dag blasted washer did the same thing your did. You are right about the noise it makes when it's spinning with a heavy load. First I heard 1 part break then you knew when the second one came loose. We then replaced it with a set of my products.

Well I ran a few more loads thru the washer today and I did notice something...the wash water level is lower than the rinse water level. Before I put the dryer on top I adjusted the water level switch and turned the wheel in the middle like I did for the other washer and noticed the switch had two screw areas. At the time I didn't know this but I do now is that one controls the rinse fills and one the wash fills. Kinda odd me thinks. But what I said earlier about the washer not adding water to a rinse cycle was wrong. I washed towels yesterday and the washer added more water to the rinse cycles after the washer tumbled the load. I was quite happy to see that.
These washers are quite durable and I was lucky to have found the same model I had that died on me. Not much changed since the first machine was made in 2001. This new one 2010. I think that they were still being made in 2011. After that me thinks that Electrolux moved the washer production to Mexico and the dryers as well. The new Frigidaires have Made in Mexico on the product ID tags. If one can find one left over in the stores snag it. Lowes had this washer listed as Dead Old Stock. It wasn't even listed in the computer when we bought it. The guy that helped us told us that they didn't think that the washer would ever sell since they didn't ave the matching dryer. I told him well it sold since I had one like it that threw the spider and was 11 years old at that. So it was meant to be. The washer holds as much as the SQ toploader. In a nutshell I am a happy man....
