shots with hols lol ....at least I know where the leak is....and I didn't use a slugging wrench ....I use a channel lock came off very easy about 6 hits....so what should I use to seal the holes????

Yeah! I told 'ya so! Well, I'm glad to see you got to the root of the problem and are restoring this machine to its former self.

I know this will be a great machine for your collection!

what can

I use to paint the bottom of the tub after I fix the holes????

Just get some Rust-O-Leum spray paint, and give it a couple of good coats. Spray the rib supports on the outside of the inner-tub as well.
Don't forget to take some hi-temp liquid gasket and cover the rubber cap on the top of the tub balance ring. That will eliminate the threat of problems with that down the road.
