Hi all. I've been searching for a two door Frigidaire refrigerator from between 1939 and say 1948. I'd settle for a single door one, but would love to have a two door type. They were few and far between, but they were made - anyone out there in washerland know of where I could start to look, other than Craig's List? I've been to AntiqueAppliances.com and they have a few but newer than what I'm looking for. Eventually, I'd like to do my kitchen over in a 1930's style with a fridge to match. Already have the 1941 Universal gas stove. I'd appreciate any help. The picture I've attached is of a GE double door from I think about the mid to late 1940s. Just as an example, don'tcha know.

Also, it's been a long while since I've done any message exchanging with anyone on this site. Just so you know, my partner Joe, is very ill (terminal we're told) with cancer - this is the 4th time for him) since this past November. So my free time has been very limited. Right now he's stable and just finished his last chemotherapy treatment about 3 weeks ago now. He's having CT scans done today actually, so we'll know more by this Friday when the results come back. All this is a result of Cobalt 60 radiation therapy he had had as a teenager for Hodgkins Lymphoma. The radiation has caused cancer now three times since then. It's a bitch.

I feel for you Jim.  I've been taking care of my partner Dave 24/7 since he had a massive stroke in late 2009.  I wish you and Joe the best.

I think there's a place in Phoenix that has a yard full of old refrigerators.  Maybe someone here knows the name of it.  If they have what you want, it won't be cheap though.

Dear Jim, I'm sorry to know your partner Joe is so ill. I wish he could overtake all this situation in the best way possible, though I know is terribly hard for both of you. You'll be in my thoughts although I don't know you. But you may know there's a soul south in Latin America who feels empathy in the current event you have to live. Hugs from Montevideo, Gus.
