Frigidaire Treasures galore.....

Evening my appliance buddies, well i haven't had much luck with vintage washers/dryer recently until i saw an auction add in my local paper. It said old appliances, well this could mean a million different things but since it had listings for tons of scrap metal i knew i had to go (TIP: always a good sign of a hoarder!!!). So i took a personal day and low and behold, (not one of my million wasted wild goose chases) i caught these beauties!!! Yay, 3 control tower washers, 1 control tower dryer and 2 really old frigidaire washers...more pictures to come tomorrow.

You only see 5 in this picture but the sixth washer is in the barn...yet to be bought (when this picture was taken, i got it trust me), but i got them all home about a second ago. Oh and with that lot i got an old thermador wall oven, i thought it was cute. It seems unusually small so i think it might have been made for a travel trailer???

They look a lot more battered then they really are...i think i good scrub will make them look like a million bucks... BTW they weren't originally stored outside, they were in a dilapidated old car shed. Go figure.

Are any of the '57 Control Towers Pulsamatics? The '57 in the second photo, in the forefront, could go either way. I can't tell which timer glass it has.

FRIGIDARE WASHER FIND

Good haul Graham, that TD wall oven was thier standard size oven, in fact it was thier only size wall oven. It would be from the early to mid 1950s. Looks like a lot of fun I will talk to you soon.

Way to go Graham.  I had too much work to do yesterday or I would have been there.  The auction was about 2 miniutes from my house.   

 

With all the rain we had, wasn't that old farm just a LITTLE muddy?  How was the crowd?

Graham I had a friend who lived near Manhaim but on the out skirts near his family's farm.

It is so beuatiful out there in Lancaster Pa. Amish Country as well.

 He would take me to the farmers show, I never knew there are so many variety of vegitables and how a string bean really suppose to look like lol it was fascinating.

 

So ther must be jackpots of stuff hidden up there do you think... BOY YOU GOT SOME TRESSURES THERE !

I'm glad you found them it was ment to be... Cant wait to see when you get them together and cleaned up and testing GOOD LUCK !

Congratulations, its been quite a while  since we have enjoyed seeing such a large score of beauties at ONE time.  Just as others have posted, it may not take much elbow grease for the cleaning.  Dawn and hot water can perform near miracles on that old porcelain. Charcoal Set

Wow, if the Charcoal set went for $2,000. I have a gold mine, LOL J/K If anyone wants to know, i paid $70. for all 7 appliances. $60. to a couple guys to help me get them out of the barn and $70. for fuel. (So i got all mine for a total of $200.) So just keep your eyes out, we find em much cheaper.

Are there any scrapyards like that up there? I've looked on the internet for places like that here in Fresno, and all I get results for are car wrecking yards.
