The wrench is a 1 1/2 inch boxed end stub or slugging wrench, so that it will fit in the tub. I had a friend that had one of a standard length and cut it in half for me and gave it to me. The water container is the same thing as the outer tub, Tech Talk refers to it as "water container"

still trying to get the hub nut off my 1-18. if i could get the pulsator shaft to drop down i have a deep set socket that does fit the nut (also 1 1/2 inch) but i can't get the pulsator sfaft loose from the rocker arm that moves it. i'm going to do a post later this week end asking for help.
my rollermatic works fine but your pics and info is very helpful to me anyway.
