Well...I tried the water heater wrench method and after lots of pounding, the $&*%@ nut STILL won't budge, and there's not a 1 1/2" diameter impact socket in existence that's over 5" long. So, this brings me to write a plea to all Frigidaire tub nut wrench owners.

Does anyone out there have an extra tub nut wrench they would like to lend or sell? If you don't want to sell it but lend it to me instead, I'll pay the shipping both ways (receiving it and sending it back).

Please let me know as this is currently the only way out of this problem!

Thanks,
Austin

Austin - try a plumbing supply company for a faucet wrench in that size. These are double ended, open tubes that are hex-shaped in different sizes (one on each end) I used one of these when working on the multi-matic trannys I rebuilt last fall, worked like a charm and the good thing was they were cheap!

That @#*&%$^ Wrench!

Nate and Greg:

Thanks for the help and encouragement. I went to the local Ace Hardware and picked up a plumbers wrench. Wish us luck!!
