Columbia Plaza condos/apartments on Virginia Avenue, NW near the Watergate, KenCen and GW University had Frolics in the kitchens. Cheapness in an expensive setting.

I never knew they made a Frolic. I used to have an avocado Brown gas built in and it said Funfare by Brown on the oven panel.

....In the history of brand names has a word been so misapplied to a product.

If that was someone's idea of frolicsome, I would hate to see their idea of austerity.

This is highly reminiscent of the 30-inch Browns I am familiar with from '70s apartment-dwelling. Absolute hell to clean, and truly dreadful bakers.

Brown Stove Works..

They are still in business in Cleveland Tennessee, the only family owned range manufacturer left in the US, but sadly the cHEAPEST MADE overpriced range ever!! But they also make 5 Star which is NOT cheap or cheap made! I have been by the factory and it looks the part of an old fashioned company, too bad they dont make an old fashioned product, across town is the old Hardwick plant that is now Whirlpool, and it is a monstrous thing, bigger than half the town.

I can see it now - the "Brother, can you spare a dime" model... 4 6" burners, 5 knobs, and a handle... that thing is so boooooring! I mean, OK, I like Plain Jane cars, but the concept just doesn't work out so well with ranges...or women! (sorry).
