I have a 2009  full sized Miele washer at the warehouse that is about to be converted into scrap, it seems that the spider and maybe bearing has failed.

 

I will post more after I tear it apart.

I haven't been able to find out who made the Miele into an aquarium, but I found this CNN story (video) about an appliance store owner in NY who converted a WP Duet into an aquarium.

Don't know the history of the microwave fish tank, but the Dexter laundry aquarium is in a Las Vegas laundromat!

tv show? Excellent ideas! I've seen old stereo and tv cabinets done that way, but this is a first for other appliances.
