Hello Everybody,

I am currently in the finishing stages of restoring my Maytag Model 32 electric wringer washer and I am curious to find out the value of the machine when it has been fully restored. I have seen Maytag Wringer Washers for sale that are in good shape go for around $250-$500 dollars on websites such as Kijiji, eBay and the like.

Any help on the matter would be appreciated!

I thought about doing one

If the porcelain is bright and the unit is 100% (not 99%) I think you can ask a bit north of $1k. If I restored one I think that’s where I would be. You would likely have to powder coat whatever pieces are not porcelain. It has to look perfect.

Even then, expect to only sell one or so a year.

I’m somewhat “known” for having vintage stoves and I still only sell a few per year. If there is any minor thing wrong with it it won’t sell period. Even a broken clock or squeaky door.

Restoration work probably 3-5 per year average

I don't know if you could get more than $500.00. Ones around here in excellent shape don't go for that much and I think if you are buying a Wringer washer you intend to use it so it just has to be in good shape. I am close to Amish county and they are plentiful here.

I sold a pretty mint one about 10 years ago for $475. It ran, but was totally original and not messed with. It didn’t leak.

I guess the more I think about it, I may have been a bit overly optimistic. Automatic washers still have utility, which adds to their value. People won’t really use wringers regularly.

I still think a mint condition one that has been gone through completely, with a warranty could fetch $750 or so.
