I know lots of people here don’t care for Starbucks, but since my schedule varies greatly I appreciate the fact that they’re all over the city and I can count on a clean restroom and reasonably fresh coffee. Yesterday afternoon I had business downtown, and as I slogged through traffic decided to stop for a cold frappacino at the only Starbucks I’ve ever seen in a Laundromat. Maybe there are others, but none that I know of in LA. Sure beats those lame ones in grocery stores!

I don't think I've ever heard of a Starbucks in a coin operated laundry, although it was probably a matter of time. As the joke goes, Starbucks will soon be opening new Starbucks inside of old Starbucks!

Add Free Wifi

Just throw in free wifi and I could spend my days there.

The tops of the machines are probably from people walking on or climbing on top of the machines at some point.

I've used the same model machines

at my local coin-op, Laundry 101. The covers are made of a heavy rubberlike material, and can be made to lie flat, if they are pushed/manipulated.

They are good machines.

I love the idea of a cafe/coin-op laundry, but I am no fan of Star*ucks! However, I know that Star*ucks is much better than the coffee sold at Laundry 101. They sell more beer to the college students than coffee to cranky residents. Also, the pool table brings in as much money as two of the top-loaders.

Looks like a fun place

I actually like Starbucks on occasion. I think their coffee can taste a little burnt, and maybe overpriced but I love to go into my local Target and get a cup then shop.

Hijacking your thread, but for some of the best fast food coffee it's McDonald's hands down.
