Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

I am surprized that the Staber style washing machine has never taken off.

In Europe these machines are quite sophisticated and a full sized version for the US and other similar markers would be a huge hit I am sure. I find them fascinating but the down side is washer enthusiasts like ourselves cant get in on the action. But for the everyday consumer...

That baby Candy sure looks like a sweetie too!

Arrrooohhh,

I have often wondered about the H-axis toploaders too. Somebody suggested that this system with at least two (some three) doors is too complicated for the Americans. It's also a possibility that Staber holds a patent (somebody must have forgotten the Launderall). I don't know. But it seems weird that Maytag and Whirlpool launch energy efficient toploaders that are much more complicated than H-axis toploaders.

Electronics worry

The cool electronics in the modern machines out there-its cool-but a worry for folks that live in the lightening prone southeast US as I do.Hope the electronics are easy to replace. The vintage machines I have I don't worry about their electromechanical timers and lightening. With the all electronic ones-would have to unplug them during storms.Do that with my WP-KA dishwasher.Won't have to worry when I fix and install the KDS-18 washer.

Top loading HL axis machines.

I know these are not Rolls Royce machines, but the Hoover vision TL looks pretty spiffy to me, ans shows how sophisticated these machines can be, compared to the staber.

Bosch and Mieles TL HA machines are even more sophisticated. I am sure they are designed to stop with the drum in the correct open position, to make loading easier.

Hoover?

Isn't Hoover owned by Maytag? I wonder why we don't see a few of these rebadged for the US.

Ironically...

Don't know if it is linked at all in anyway, probably just plain coincidence, but Hoover had a Perfoma line in the late 90s...

Just an observation :)
