What is your opinion on the MVW7232H/MVW7230H.

The reason why I’m not saying the full number is because there are two variants, “HC” and “HW”, which are the same exact machines except for the color.

Anyways, I don’t like these newer VMAX machines because they don’t rinse well in my opinion and have an issue with their sliders and conteol boards.

Maytag makes a machine that looks very similar to these VMAX’s, the MVW6230H (which is NOT a VMAX machine, it’s a VMW machine). The difference between these and that is the MVW6230H has slightly less options and has no “COMMERCIAL TECHNOLOGY” under the logo. The tub is also slightly smaller on the MVW6230H.

Whirlpool’s equivalent to these machines was the discontinued WTW7120H and the still made WTW8127L. The WTW8127L has the removable agitator but otherwise is the same as the discontinued model. The WTW7120H was a discontinued machine.

These models replaced the MVWB835D and MVWB865G, which were older versions but had slight different programming.

The MVW7230H is just the agipeller version which really isn’t much better.

Do you have these newer style VMAX’s? How does yours clean? What’s your opinion on it? Do you have any problems with it (such as bad bearings, bad slider, noise during wash, or grinding). If yours is roaring you can share a video of your machine spinning with me.

Can the forum webmaster merge these posts into a single unified thread since IMO the problems center around a similar if not identical washer design?

In my opinion a single thread will make a greater case against vertical modular washers in that all the premature failures will be streamlined to a single easy to cite thread.

Jerome, you're not far away from the truth. When the model T came out few protested it. Few demanded its banishment. The market got its taste of cheap suspended floating tub hanging off the cabinet. People sad nothing, the other manufacturers knew they could follow unhindered.

If everyone was like me not single model T would have sold in public, and everyone who found one on their rental property would have refused to pay rent until their landlords got rid of it. GE would've issued several public apologies. With the power of the wallet, voice and protest consumers would have had serious respectable laundry equipment today.
