Futuristic Kenmore dryer

That dryer was TOL except for the Lady Kenmore in the mid 1980s. In fact, it uses most of the same operational parts in the console as the 1983 Lady, however it has no provision for medium heat like the LK does. It is numbered as an 80 series. The earliest versions of this dryer were intended to pair up with the 1979 electronic non-Lady electronic washer.
I am not sure if there was a matching washer of exact same appearance or not --- every time I've seen one of these it was paired with a timer controlled KM washer of the same age. I am very familiar with each of the Kenmore BD washer models from the 1983 line, except one --- the one directly under the Lady K again, also an 80 series. Online parts diagrams seem to make it look exactly like the other two 80-series machines, but until I see one, there is a question-mark in my mind as to whether it may have had some styling features somewhere that connected it with this dryer.

If I recall correctly, I have seen a washer with that type of dial for the water level control but the rest of the controls were electronic and setup in a sort of linear fashion. Saw it here on AW but don't recall exactly where it was listed.

The 1978 Lady Kenmore electronic and the 1979 Kenmore 900 electronic both used a knob like that for the water level selectors. The Lady was an infinite switch and the 900 model had five levels. The remaining three Kenmore electronic models (the 1980 LKM, 1981 LKM, and the 1982 Limited Edition) used a linear slider water level switch.
