To Webmaster:

I am writing to you from appliancetimers.com. We repair mechanical timers for aging washers. We have been in business for 40 years so we may have old parts that might be of interest to your visitors.

If you agree, we would appreciate a link from your website to www.appliancetimers.com so that your visitors can learn about us.

With thanks,

Wow, as soon as I saw the phone number I knew where this was.
It is less than an hour away from my house.
If anyone needs help, give a shout.

on another note

The big parts and service center for Sears, which I have been to is on Cherry Blossom Drive in Cambridge.
It is about 10 to 15 minutes from the appliance timer.
I am willing to bet the custumer service is 100% better than Sears.
Give these guys or girls a try. They can't be all bad if they contacted AW.ORG

So close.

Galt,Preston,Hespler,Its all a blur.
I used to work at the Sears Outlet at the John Galt Mall.
I live in downtown Harriston one hour north of Kitchener.
Vacation at Cedars Campground 10 minutes from Millgrove, have breakfast in Waterdown at Angels Dinner

I talked to these guys a few weeks ago when I thought I was going to need to replace the timer on my 1-18 before I figured out it was just the timer motor. I located them via google search and the lady I spoke with was pleasant, and helpful. I'd definetly consider using them.

Another source I have found is stoneparts.com They actually had NOS timers for my model of 1-18. There is a guy there named Gerald who was also knowledegable and helpful. He went to the trouble of going through the old microfish to locate the cross reference on the timer and the timer motor for me, and he also didn't treat me like I was crazy for wanting repair something that is vintage...

The Nicest Thing...

...About this is- they repair electronic timers, too. Those things are becoming so prevalent that it's going to get more and more difficult to avoid them (which is still my own preference, frankly). There are a few places that do electronic timers, but more certainly couldn't hurt, particularly in light of manufacturers' tendency to discontinue parts before the delivery truck that brings your new washer is out of your driveway. Okay, so that's a bit of an exaggeration, but it's not as much of an exaggeration as I'd like for it to be- parts get dropped fast these days.

I hope members using this company will share their experiences with us, so we'll have some feedback on how good they are.

Dear Bellalaundry

Hmmm, never been to Cedars and yet live in Hamilton?
It is within spitting distance!
For everyone that has not heard of Cedars, it is the GLBT campground.
You can check it out on their website I think Cedars Campground or The Cedars campground.
I have been going there for 11 years, never a bad time.
The barn where they have the dances would rival any bar or dance club in the cities.
The Sept. long weekend they have illumination night to honour the man who started the park.It is incredible to see 100 acres light by tea lights and candles. The poor Ikea in Burlington is wiped out of candles that weekend.

Thanks for the heads up! Finding parts in Canada can be quite a challenge, but to know that there is someone who can do repairs or rebuilds here is welcome news.
Thanks for passing this on, Robert!!

My God, you have the magic touch

Our North American friends across the Peace Bridge CAN REPAIR the Lady K Visimatic Timer. Praise be jesus, yahweh, allah, and Ben's favorite, the gods of aworg. Almost 2 years I've been trying to fix this bitch and now, presto.......

With the kindness and generosity you shower on everyone, you must have the most karma in Minnesota. And as usual, I love you.
