Oh, Mickey ... your Norge AND your Unimatic are absolutely wonderful!! The best of both worlds ... THANK YOU so much for sharing those with us!!
A BRAND NEW NORGE WRINGER; how lucky can a guy be??
Please, please, tell us what the oval sticker on the front of the machine says ... word for word. I think it has something to do with "Deep Rinsing", am I right? Did you get a manual with it, too? What a dream!!! What does the presoak cycle do? I'm sure the "HOLD" is for wringing, right? It keeps the motor running.
That Unimatic is sweet, also. I always am amazed at Robert's machines; that model was pretty quiet and the spin is FANTASTIC. More quiet than say the 1-18; those were the "boom, boom, boom" machines, as I put it! Growing up, my neighbors had an early 1960's model in their breezeway and you could hear the "boom, boom, boom" from down the block!!
Love the story ... especially with your Mom included! That's about what my Mom would say, too. "What are you going to do with another washing machine? Don't you have enough already? There are other things you can do with your money!"
Gotta love our Moms!! Just tell her you needed the machines to clean everything up after you finish staining the deck!!
Your place is beautiful and right on the water, too. Boy that view! I would have a set of double tubs set up and would be doing my washing right there on the deck!!
Oh ... and I would have a little cocktail with all that ice, too. Instead of a Manhattan, I'll have a gin and tonic please; with LOTS of ice and lots of lime!!
Thanks again for sharing ...
