I stopped by Target earlier, and, of course, I could not resist seeing if there was anything new in the laundry detergent aisle. As it turns out, the answer is yes. P&G has added some new products that have a significant percentage of plant based ingredients (65-70%). Products include new types of Gain detergent, Gain softener, and Downy softener.
I have no idea how well these products work, but I will say that I tried Tide Purclean (which also has something like 65% plant based ingredients) about a year ago. It worked well for me, although admittedly I seldom have tough loads--most laundry is just freshening.
